I'm a Woman
I’m a woman they said to me
I’m told right from birth that I’m fragile
A weaker version of my opposite the called man
Why I’m a weaker version I ask
And I’m told it’s because I’m a woman
Yet growing up with the man as a woman
I’m taught to be analytical, multi-tasked, emotionally strong and balanced all for the man
I’m never asked what I want to be for myself
I have to struggle for everything empowering I want just cause I’m a woman
Just then I’m left wondering what exactly my weakness is as a woman
Cause all I see are strength
I’m a woman they said to me at birth
Symbol of sex appeal no one told me
I had to learn it as I grew
The pain that comes with being a woman, no one even whispered to me
I had to learn to bear and live with pain like it’s not there to start with
The society is harsh to me always wanting something from me in other to give me what I want
Yet I’m not to break
I’m a woman they said to me
I’m told right from birth that I’m fragile
A weaker version of my opposite the call man
Just then I’m left wondering what exactly my weakness is as a woman
Cause all I see are strength
