The Sun's Song

When the willow tree’s blossom’s whisper
                     to the sun.
Oh, how the sun kissed maiden lay under the bloom.
                    She waits.
                     For who?
The dawn sprinkles light to
the darkness of the night.
The silver queen lies and waits for the sun.
The shining children of the stars head to sleep
as the lovers finally meet.
The maiden smiles up at her queen, shining in the lady's new light. The sun flickers like angry fire as it sets in the sky. Though her light is soft.
Her kindness is warm,
embracing.
The sun kissed maiden fades as the moon sets and her eyes are stripped away.
The maiden waves as the willow

blooms settle, like a white blanket was wrapped around her shining skin.
The darkness drained and as the sun’s fire rises in the sky. Her flames wishing the names of the silver.
Until dawn they meet again.
Until dawn they will meet again.
Until.
Until then, the lady must lie in wait. And for the silver one, she sings her wistful melodies.

I love the imagery in this poem of the willow tree and the silver moon. It reminds me of longing for a lover. I thought the poem was well written and thoughtful
