I'm You. You're Me

I'm you. You're me.
If you know how you feel,
then you'll know why I see.
You think no one knows,
your struggles, your fight.
You're frustrated, angry or hurting inside.
Take pause at the moonlight that comes out each night.
It may help you focus on goals, keep in sight.
You're not alone sweetheart, I'll ask you to kneel.
Search deep in your heart, I feel what you feel.
You might think at times, I don't know how you feel.
The stresses, the pressure of these modern years.
But try me, just ask me,
"How did you get through?"
I'll share with you struggles, like one's facing you.
Though life and its roadblocks may hit left and right.
I've no doubt that you can, fight the good fight.
Remember the good times and lessons you've learned.
They'll serve as an anchor on life steps you've earned.
You know how I know this and ask how I see.
Just look in the mirror,
I'm you. You're me.

Love,
Daddy
