are pleased to announce the
Quarterly Poetry Contest
open for all members


The winner gets a personalized badge to show off and 300 karma points. All participants will be awarded 100 karma points.


Rules


1. Brand new poem. Poems already posted in the finished section will not be accepted.

2. Poem should fit the theme.

3. Poem must fit normal writing standards. No haiku and senryu..
According to GotPoetry Rules, poems must not incorporate "excessive numbers or emoticons, large, small or colored text" and text in all caps or excessive use of punctuation outside of standard usage is prohibited.

4. The whole staff or families of staff are not eligible for this competition.

All poems submitted for judging must be submitted on or before the specified date, 12:00 AM (Midnight) Eastern Standard Time, to me via private message. Message subject line must read "Poetry Contest Submission: [Insert Theme Title]".

If someone submits their prose or poem and later on wishes to edit due to flow, a typo, any reason at all, would an edited version be permitted.
Maybe FINAL REVIEW could be on the header so judges would know and delete the previous. Rules on this, mamta?

    it goes to the judges only after the 20th. you can edit or re-submit it before that. once it goes, then its not allowed.
