News in Poetry Bedell sought the assistance of Louisiana Poet Laureate Darrell Bourque, and the result is a beautiful book of alternating poetry between the two men, titled Call and Response: Conversations in Verse. The book is "a record of that drawing out," Bedell writes. "Whether calling or responding, I had to stretch my ideas of what a poem could be and how it might be framed to match Darrell's abilities."...
