why me?

there are times i just sit here in the park in my wheelchair
and wonder Why Me?
why not that person or the next that stands tall and proud
that walk around me as if i am the pest in the road.

i sit at my angle and see what you do not
a glance to see a hummingbird flicker its wings
or the rain that takes that special hop as it lands around me
or the most im;ortant, I AM FREE

i no longer sit here and whine why me, i know why me so you would not.
