Little Companion

by StarDust

Little did I know that on the 26th night,
My little companion would fall from such a height.
He was so small, shaking with fear,
I couldn't help it, I had to shed a tear.

I carried him in my palm all the way to my house,
He's so cute, seriously, if he'd been human, would've made him my spouse.
Found a small cardboard box where I tucked him in for the night,
Never did I expect that he would make my days really bright.

Woke up early the next morning and ran to see his face,
He looked up at me with small beady eyes, and I was lost in space!
I put my hand in to see of he wanted to come out,
He practically flew into it, with what sounded like a small triumphant shout.

I didn't know what to feed him,
So I gave him a small piece of apple,
He just tilted his head in this funny way,
As though he was baffled!

He's tiny and furry and Chocolate brown,
And he's got these creamy stripes that run right down.
His eyes speak of mischief alone,
His eternaly-kissable mouth is as lovely as a Strawberry Cone.

The way he hops, and to see him run,
Makes watching him so much fun.
He slumps on my face and he nibbles my chin,
He tries to eat my earrings, God knows what's wrong with him!

He beieves he's Spiderman, jumping from here and there,
Although most of the time he jumps and misses,
Don't giggle, now that's not fair.
He curls up like a tiny fur ball, and he sleeps like a log,
In my life, he's the small ray of sunshine that lifts the fog.

For all those who didn't guess who my little comppanion really is,
I'd love to let you know through this two-minute quizz:
Who could you think of who's small and furry with a long bushy tail?
And who could keep me so happy that I don't even want to check my mail?
Think about it for a minute or two, and then you'll get the answer to my riddle,
He's none other than Bubbles, my cute and tiny baby S_ u_ r _ e l!!
