Fireflies in the back yard

Where did the real stars go from my childhood?
I remember catching them and putting them in a jar.
I really do remember this.

Did the global warming I blame on politicians steal them along with all the New England snowmen?

Will I never get to show my son these lights emulating flies?

Will we only get to lay in the July grass staring up at light polluted skies?

This brings back fond memories of when I was a child and catching them or watch then land on you and watch them light up, all the while standing there just wondering" How did they do that?"

i miss the fireflies too! last summer i was just like "where are they!"
good job.
