Why Me

Why at the beginning do I always see the end
How come when it’s my turn no one has an ear to lend.

Why when I try does it always end so wrong
If this life is life
then purgatory is the end

No matter what I try I really cannot win
Born eclipsed and cloaked in total sin

Still I find the time to try to do what’s right
But even still with effort
I’m still scared at night

Full of fear for what I can’t change
Always my life for you I rearrange

I try so hard

with all my might
And then still

it’s not right

Ghosts of the past
Always haunting me
Broken hearted again
For the world to see

Heavy in my heart
Confused in my mind

Still I find I’m wondering

Why me?
