| spence's recent Blog entry. | Crazy Ramblings of a Mad Man... Or a glimpse of modern culture? VOTE NOW TXT 091 ( 293 reads) | Friday, November 13, 2009 (02:10:00) | | | I don't ordinarily do blogs, but I was prompted to this part of the site via an e-mail from our hosts @ gotpoetry.
It's really weird being here. Like being in a pub- without beer or people. The only conversation I'm likely to hear is someone on their mobile and the refurbishment is terrible. Grey and white graffitti scrawled walls.
It feels kind of lonely actually. I don't like it at all....
Hmmm.... thinking....
How on earth do people end up in illicit affairs doing this sort of thing? Where's the stimulus? Where are the vast amounts of alcohol we can consume in order to feel attractive and interesting? I'll never score with all my inhibitions intact!
I went to get a beer from the fridge....sorry I left without telling you. I didn't think you were reading. Hang on a bit though... Im gonna knock a spliff up. I won't be long...I'm only making a single skinner. I just need to take the edge of this grey and white cyber reality thing....
Ah!!! That's better....beer in one hand....joint in the other....communicating with invisible online friends...
What's that?
I'm typing with my toes of course....no I'm not lying...I took my boots off ages ago. How would you know anyway?
Exactly!
I've gotta go now anyway....got a hot date on eroticstories.com.
Just this lass i met on there
Busty blonde with a low IQ...doesn't speak much and never asks where I've been....perfect...she doesn't even know I'm there so she won't see it coming. | Last 10 News Submissions: | |

Hi! I want to thank you for leaving such an insightful comment on my poem, 'Psychology.' Also, I have really enjoyed your writing on 'The Storyteller.' I could not possibly agree with you more when you state 'Qualification is defined in terms of the enchantment of the observer, not on pieces of paper signed by college professors who have culled and lulled words into conformity.' When you write, 'We can all write our own story, the question is will we?' It reminds me of something angelou Maya once wrote, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” I look forward to reading more of your writing. Have a wonderful weekend.

Enjoyed this very much, Lee. Your thoughtful words are so true, and not just for those of us who write, true as life itself. I've enjoyed your self-portrait on your page many times, too. About you and the tear-away kids and your dedication to their welfare, just never stopped by to leave a comment. I just wanted to say thank you this time, and let you know how much I enjoyed reading your page and this part about the storyteller. Best wishes, Mary Ann

Spence, This is a wonderful piece and it tells so much about you. I need not tell you that you are a very thoughtful man and in an age where very little thought goes into anything, where much is done on the spur of the moment with little thought to consequences, you are unique. I know you hold little if no faith in fate, you would probably be surprised that I do not either . Although I am a women of faith it has little to do with the other. You are a great story teller as I can see in your writings and what you write here only confirms it.. I admire greatly your loyalty to the underdog and your perseverance and honesty in the face of bureaucratic depravity.
And that being said I would love to one day read the rest of your book when it is finished . You have piqed my curiosity and I always love a good story... A freind of pen I hope... Melly

Spence
does this make sense? Yes it makes sense. It makes perfect sense. Each of us has a story to tell. Are we going to figure out what our story is our selves or simply let it happen. Are we going to depend on someone to tell us what that story is or how it should be or are we going to make it our own. There is no structure or format. There is no plan to find that will bring us to our journey. Each of us should listen to our own hearts and hear the path that it takes us.
I have been afraid for so long that I have always let destiny happen. Only it hasn't been destiny happening. It hasn't been anything. Why I waited till now to try and fly I don't know why but I have never been more happy.
Spence I think you are on to something. This is very good stuff. It's refreshing noble and authentic. I can't wait to read more of what you have written. Here's to the journey..Cheers. Michelle

This is the draft introduction to a book I'm working on. I only have one question for anyone who reads it- Does it make sense to you?
