Granny Small
Granny She walked through life a giver Always at God’s call A thoughtful voice of reason A pattern for us all The beauty of her sun swept voice Gave light unto the night I hear the echo of her heart Vibrations over time Lost in age and body A mind that fades to white Her memory braided cobwebs As Alzheimer’s took her life God took her from our graces But never from our hearts Her memory lingers ever Although her soul departs An Angel was my granny Lent by God to one and all To make our lives but sweeter A treasure to recall.
