They, or at least Paul, thinks - or likes to present that he thinks for the purpose of a shabby polemical platform - that everyone that he does not agree with is Mayo, or else is a lackey of Mayo, as if she has a private and nefarious group of elitist literary-minded thugs sitting around her table, ready to pounce at her command. Mayo has been gone from the site now for quite a while, however. And whether you loved Mayo or you hated Mayo - she was inimitable.

Wait. I thought we thought Doris was Mayo, not AsIf....
Or was Doris supposed to be Electrictiger who is also Izmeiah?
And has Ilan come back as another shoddily disguised shepherd, or is he masquerading as AsIf now too?
Is that the same dog in Treagal and Omegapaf's avatars? And if you zoomed out on wordsmithwannabe's mouth, would it be my face staring back at you? |
Careful Kyle, soon they will accuse you of being me, too. As you know, Paul thinks I'm at least four other gp members. I tell you, being so many people is tiresome work. But, I say this: why limit oneself to the narrow confines of being a garden variety two-faced bastard when you can have eight or nine or even fourteen faces? I can also shoot lasers from my eyes (all 28 of them). Nod, nod. It's true.

It would be much more interesting if I were actually Omegapaf. Perhaps I am.
EDIT: P.S. To all those for whom my reputation precedes me: yes - I am kidding. And no, I'm not wearing my bastard shoes. I gave them away to a consignment shop. I even have the increasingly frequent urge to hold doors open for people I don't even know lately. Don't worry, I haven't given in to such soft-hearted yearnings just yet. Yet.

Ok.
Since we are getting into tinfoil hats..
I may or may not be that anonymous low rater. I am also electrictiger, omegapaf, kylebank, and apparently mayo.
And if you are reading this now, I am whoever you are.

to misquote william shakespeare " a dickhead by any other name...would still be a dickhead "....enjoy your little gossips....just one question...does any of this ridiculous crap actually have anything to do with poetry? electric tiger and AsIf and all you lot.....this isn't some load of nonsense like twitter. this is a serious poety site. try writing a decent poem, rather than just critisizing everybody else's poems - paul.

Yeah, but if he laughed, he might lose his Super Srs Douchebag of the Year award, given out annually to one non-american person over the age of 40 that has been here for at least five years, each November. Big Prizes! Big Money! And, an all expenses paid trip to beautiful Malibu!
WINNING
P.S. Paul, I heartily invite you to begin a dialogue on your own initiative about poetry. I mean that.

Thank you wylde for the support, I have needed it.
And shockingtiger, thank you, also, although I am afraid to address you in public, you being me and all.
And kylebank, I love your lips, that are wordsmithwannabe, and even you AsIf, of whom I know nothing- having never interacted, thank you for, well, being me. And you Madame Butterfly, your kindness is greatly appreciated too.
Omegapaf, you delight me in your ignorance and freedom to call out the "not at all" as if it was "really true". You fascinate me in the truest of ways. You are a precious gem, one that I hope never is eliminated from the site for false statements etc. You are precious, cute even. Kisses.
I am dealing with the loss of my mother. As an orphan, perhaps you omegapaf can relate being English and all and you being the inventor of orphans as in the example of Oliver (get it?), I think this is all a bunch of crap. My American arrogance would have me think that being American and all the world would....well, I don't know what the American arrogance would have me think, dickwad, I mean friend of the free world, ie internet.
If you are going to call out "bullies" in a place where you bully I find you ridiculous. I am now bullying you, so if I call out another bully let me be battered about the head too. Are you that stupid to think that what you do is not bullying? Really? Come on, you can call yourself what you are; you are as a matter of birth non-American and you call it as it is, don't you?
Gotpoetry, in general, I wish this was a place that welcomed poets that wanted to work on their poetry. I have not found that to be a reality for the most part. Thank you, supportive poets, Mary Ann, Wylde, etc ( the rest of which I am afraid to mention for fear that they too will be thrown into the pyre that is "those that are the word defenders, spell checkers, etc"), you have kept my visit here lively.

doris - i am sorry that there is not more refuge for you in this community at a very difficult time for you.
such is life. and such are communities. of all kinds. (sic)
it may not offer you any solace right now, but a dear respected 'poet' friend once told me eons ago:
"poetry is war"....and that statement has helped me through many years when i least expected it.
keep keeping. and above all. keep writing. and hopefully keep posting hear (sic).
all the best.

omegapaf..if I am ever in your neck of the woods (provided, of course, that arrogant Americans are welcome) perhaps we will share a pint and bury the hatchet.
Maybe you will experience actual laughter if I tell you a joke:
Two flies are standing on a turd. One farts. The other says, "do you mind? I'm trying to eat over here."

We do take this site seriously, and we are trying to do more than write decent poems. We're trying to write better poems. And criticism its a part of that. So is laughter.

we take this site seriously kylebank, because to a lot of poets it is a serious business. you don't know some of the potentially excellent poets who just left and stopped writing because of the endless childish critisizm of certain people........i do. this isn't some stupid social networking site like twitter, where idiots discuss inanities all day.
