in a sojourn of epic
stationary importants
the frame that claims to hold the picture
has no power of constraint
nor the hooks that hang it
nor the walls that embrace it
nor the paint or canvas
only the fingers that felt the brush
after
feeling the need inside
and so the engendered museums
that built themselves
are nothing
but what was given to them
by those that felt
and created in response to their own
seminal connections
that would not be mastered despite
the veneers of control that executed
deeply around them.

I love the message here, a beautiful painting is nothing without the hands of creation. Just as the museum is only as great as the art that it encompasses.

lash - tks for the suggest. i prefer 'engendered' for a few reasons. i truly have an issue with 'genderations.' for a number of reasons. so i like the imprint of that in this piece. also in relation to engender pertaining to the 'spawning' of...
