Added a site map to the wiki. Basically a list of every section of the website.

Added poet ranking pages. Shows how your poems rank against the other poets on the site who've published in the finished poetry section.

Added a block of the top 15 poets to the finished poetry section as well.

Now even non paid members can change thier profile layout. They have to start with a premade layout however.

Added www.gotpoetry.com/My_Poems.html My_poems page. A page that is sortable and can be filtered acording to category so you can better track your poems in the finished poetry section.

I bumped it to 35. I felt 50 was too many and too hard to look through.

2 to 1 rule on Forum Workshops now enforced through the code.

I've programmed it so that you have to post two replies to poems that are not your own in the Poetry Workshops before you can post a poem to the workshops.

Everyone is starting off at not having replied to any poems because I'm a mean person and really, its just two replies.

If you write 10 replies, you are then able to post 5 poems before you have to reply again. For the regulars this isn't going to be a problem. For those who never reply, well, they now have to.

Updated poet rankings:

Added Page Slam wins to the list.

Added Master Poets listing in rankings: GotPoetry Master Poets (10 or more poems voted on 5 or more times each and at least one Page Slam win to be ranked)

Once we get 15 Master Poets, I'll replace Master Poets with the Top 15 Poets listing on the poems and page slam page.

The reason it is 5 votes or more for the master category is because it is 5 votes or more for the Top Ranked Poems screen.

Finished Poetry section:

Added:
* The ability to edit your comments and change the rankings of poems you've ranked in the past.

* Screen to list the comments on your poems, the comments you've left on other people's poems, a listing of all of the rankings you've left.

* Ability to add a poem to your favorites list.

* Favorites list.

* Clickable poem category to the bottom of each poem, so that when
you click on a pome you will know what category it is in and judge it acordingly.

* Heart image to show up next to a poems ranking if you list that poem as a favorite.

* Various tweaks and fixes.

Removed the word Poem: when you use the [code] tag on your poems. Its redundant and doesn't add a thing.

Changed the formatting a bit.

Recoded the Blogs comment system. It now uses the same algorythms and shared settings of the News comments.

Therefore you can now reply to a comment, and they will nest, etc. Email notification if you have it turned on works for replies and new comments.

Email notification of comment replies to your News Article as well as if someone replies to your comment in the News.

Icon for Registered members now shows for both Blog and News comments.

Switched Poet page and Profile Guest Books over to the new Comment system.

Paid members now skip the poetry approval process. Thier poems automatically insert into the Database.

You can now set a poem to not be rated. Doing so takes it out of your rankings also.

You sure it wouldn't let you? In firefox, sometimes the contents of the drop down doesn't display, but its actually there.

As far as removing your ratings, I am undecided if I want to allow that. I suppose if I did it so you could only delete ALL of the ratings for a poem then it might not be too bad. I worry about people playing too many games with the rankings.

I'll mull the idea over for a few days and get back to you.

New front page

Thanks! I've been trying to figure out the best way to redesign the front page for a while now.

For those who like the old front page better, just click News from the top of the main menu.

Paid members (those who've subscribed) can now export all of their poems from the finished poetry section and save them as a file on their local computer.

Why? Well, its easier than cutting and pasting them one by one.


Go to www.gotpoetry.com/My_Poems.html and look at the bottom of your list for the Options box.

The main blog pages are now much more blogish.

Updated the member list to include more pertinent information.

You now get karma for replies to posts in the forum workshops, just as you get a poem credit.

Members can no longer vote for their own poem in a Page Slam.

The My_Poems section now shows you if someone has listed a poem of yours as a favorite.

Buddy list on the user info block now show your buddy's icon.

Someday I have to correct the spelling mistake of buddys...
