GotPoetry's mission is to be the most popular portal for the spoken word community in the English speaking world. Already we are one of the few places where poets, venues and publishers (or anyone else) can enter and publish news about poetry in their area or venue, and is one of the few community sites to check regularly for news concerning spoken word, performance poetry and slam. If it’s happening in the world of spoken poetry, chances are it’s being talked about at GotPoetry. In addition to the news, Gotpoetry is a full-fledged community site, with discussion forums, events listings, blogs, galleries for poets and more.
