GotPoetry maintains a staff reviewed [1] of poetry. All poems submitted by its users, unless they are paid members, are first reviewed to be sure they are poems and not spam or long mathematical manifestos on spam. Paid members are allowed to automatically add their works to the collection without the delay of a review. We do this to ensure the quality of our collection. You may not like every poem but when you click on a title you can be sure it will be a poem.

The poetry collection is divided into many popular categories.

The poets who submit their work can allow it to be rated. If a poem is rated that poet will appear in the site rankings. A poem can be set to be rated by anyone - member, anonymous voter or via an outside rating link, a poem can be set to be only voted on my a registered member, a registered member with a comment or not to be rated at all.

There are 3 types of rankings: Active, Top and All.

• The Active rankings list all poets that have 10 or more rated poem within the past 6 months. This is a list that measures active poets.
• The Top list is comprised of all poets who have poems open to any type of ranking that have 10 or more poems ranked and have been ranked by .5% of all poets who have submitted poems to the collection.
• All lists every poet counting unrated poems as a 0 score.

Under the My_Poems screen there are a variety of tools and listings to help you manage your poetry and to help rate the poems of other members.
