Page Slam

A [Page Slam] is a GotPoetry tournament where poets compete against each other with the written word.

Only registered members can create tournaments as well as join them.

Once a tournament is created, poets can join that Page Slam tournament for a specific amount of Karma and then add their poems to the tournament. The number of poems they add corresponds to the number of rounds in that tournament. The number of rounds in the tournament also dictates how many poets can join.

There is a pause between each round so that the poets can change a poem they originally intended to compete with. Strategy often comes into play.

At the end of each round a winner is declared based on the head to head match ups. The winner moves onto the next round.

At the end of the tournament, one poet is left standing. All the rounds are done and the creator of the tournament gets 30% of the total karma, while the winner gets 70%.

In case of a tie, the winner is chosen at random.
