"Brand New Pieces" SLAM
A Poetry Slam is a competitive performance poetry
reading, open to all comers. Frequently called the
"Democratization" of Poetry, Slams focus not just on
the writing but on the performance of the poet as
well. The competitions are judged by randomly picked
audience members.
A Brand New Pieces Slam promises
a fresh new experience to all members of the slam
audience - newcomers and regulars alike. The
competitors in this slam can only perform poems that
have NEVER been performed in the Seattle Slam before.
