Writing Exercises Enter & Read Your Poem on TV! SUCCESSFUL SOUL of New England 2004 Poetry Contest Sponsored by Image Design & Consulting Services & SOULutions for Dynamic Living Leading to Awards Event Featuring 2003 Poet of the Year Ms. Pam Osbey Author of Musings of a Mocha Sista: A Different Flava of Mocha & Poetry Reading & Poetry Writing Workshop by Ms. Osbey
You are encouraged to enter the Soul of New England 2004 Poetry Contest!

This poetry contest is open to all New England area poets age 16 and over.

ALL poets who enter contest will receive 3 day/ 2 night complimentary hotel accommodations to over 20 destinations.

This is your golden opportunity to have your work and talent showcased on television.

Finalist will be given the opportunity to perform their winning poem to be televised on
Bev Knox's popular Connecticut television talk show. This is your moment to shine & show off your
talent!

Poetry contest submissions must be unpublished (self-published poems welcome),
written around the theme of SUCCESS and related to achieving one's dreams and goals in 2004.

All finalists will be published in the Winter/Spring 2004 issue of Images & Excellence for Dynamic Living Resources.
Poems accompanied by a self-addressed-stamped envelop will be returned via US mail to the author after the event.

Author retains copyright to his or her work. Entry into this contest constitutes author's
permission to Image Design & Consulting Services & SOULutions for Dynamic Living to use his or her work for
this contest, event and resource publications.

Entries must be postmarked by January 31, 2004, to qualify.

Winners will be posted by or before February 31, 2004, on www.BeesGali.com.

Prizes:

1st Place: $100.00, Publication of up to 3 poems in Winter/Spring 2004 issue of Images & Excellence for Dynamic Living Resources
2nd Place: $50.00, Publication of up to 2 poems in Winter/Spring 2004 issue of Images & Excellence for Dynamic Living Resources
3rd Place: $25.00, Publication of up to 1 poem in Winter/Spring 2004 issue of Images & Excellence for Dynamic Living Resources

Contestants and guests will also be given the opportunity to attend our a poetry reading & workshop with award
winning poet Pam Osbey! During her poetry workshop, Ms. Osbey will instruct on elements of style and
structure. This workshop will also cover tips on getting your work copyrighted and published.

Contribute to the voice of SUCCESS and submit your entry today!

Guidelines:

1. All forms of poetry, any style, rhymed and free verse.
2. Poetry submitted must be the original work of the author and centered on the theme of SUCCESS.
3. Entries may be hand delivered or mailed.
4. Open to poets age 16 and over.
5. 1-24 lines per poem.
6. Contest fee -- $10 per poem -- or - 3 poems for $20 (no poems accepted w/o non-refundable entry fee).
7. Entries must be typed or NEATLY handwritten (illegible entries will be disqualified) on 8 1/2" x 11" paper with
the authors name, address, age and telephone number on the BACK of the entry. Also on back of entry the
following statement must be printed and signed by poet: "I hereby certify that my poem, entitled:.............
which has been submitted to Successful SOUL of New England Poetry Contest, is my own original work.
Signed..............."
8. Deadline: January 31, 2004
9. All contact information (Including full name, address, telephone number & e-mail address) on entry form and/or
reverse side of each poem submitted. All requested info must be provided for consideration.
10. First, second, third and honorable mention winners will be selected and notified by or before February 30, 2004.
11. All contestants automatically receive confirmation via e-mail of their vacation accommodations package as our
thanks for your participation in this contest.
12. Judges decisions are final.
13. Judges reserve right to disqualify racially, sexually or otherwise derogatory/offensive material.
14. FREE expression welcomed. Hate declined.
15. Entrants assume all legal responsibility for their work.
16. One poem per sheet.
17. Unpublished poems only.
18. Entrants retain copyright to their original work and grant permission to Image Design & Consulting Services & SOULutions for Dynamic Living to feature work in resource publication and upcoming awards event.
