Cadence of colours - by Gulneet Bajaj
Reviews “I knew it had to be a coffee table book. Poetry has so many colours, yet poetry books are often so drab. No one wants to pick them up.” A wish for colour resulted in “Cascade of Emotions”, a book of poetry by Gulneet Bajaj with paintings by artist Vijay Naik.

Released recently, this Indialog publication is a collection of debut poet Bajaj’s work from her early teens to today. The poems, which she wrote in her teens, are clearly childish, with simplistic rhyme schemes. They might do credit to a 13-year-old, but have little place in an adult collection. The later poems are tighter and more eloquent. The highlight of the book is clearly Naik’s paintings. In bright and evocative colours, the canvases lend a soul to the poems. href="http://www.thehindu.com/mp/2008/04/21/stories/2008042150110200.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Link!
