Among the most valuable pieces in the collection is a signed draft version of Kunitz's poem "My Mother's Pears," which Kunitz dedicated to the Stockmals, according to the university. The pear tree that he and his mother planted when he lived in the house remains to this day. The Stockmals would send a box of fresh pears to Kunitz and his wife each year. ...
