No Longer Alone

Cool breeze about them,
sun behind a cloud
Alone save the distant cyclist,
neither spoke aloud

Her hands traced
under his shirt,
following hairline from naval
to nipples now alert

Lips pressed savagely
to the other
Tongues dancing lustfully,
making their loins shudder

Buttons unsnap,
fingers search open flies
Desire’s dew now moistens
while a distant loon cries

Now temptation demands
they move to the next stage
But, suddenly she shoves him back,
he thought perhaps in rage

Flushed red ignoring
his urgent groan
She shouts, “Put that away,
we’re no longer alone!”
