Poem

Innocence Plundered

Yet another scream heard in daylight,
Terrified to their bones, they hide
With whispers, afraid to shout;
Vultures circling the skies above.

Looking down at the victims that lie,
They could care less, of their very own,
Innocent minds tremble with fear,
As if they were to be devoured.

Adulthood they call it, responsible;
But yet we find low morale among foxes,
Shrieks and whines in the dark,
And no one left to hear another cry.

Voices lost within closed doors,
Trafficking playing a menacing role;
To whom shall I complain?
To whom shall I cry?
Wondering are those little minds.

“You are scaring me”, they scream;
But the jackals continue their scavenging spree,
Not knowing to spell fear, they experience it,
Which is nothing close to cheer.

Where is your Government?
Where are your laws?
Does it look over demons flaws?
I am not considered a major in your world.
Alas a human child!

Could you please hold me in a different way?
Losing my childhood I cannot live.
All I ever wanted was to stay,
Now I lay losing everything that I could give.
