Longing for Desperation

My eyes cast shadows upon her beauty
Watching her fondly throughout the darkness
Taking pleasure from her with each caress
Before the dawn, I swiftly set to flee

With careful thought I leave no sightly trail
But on me is set loose with devil hounds
Scared to rest, knowing I could soon be found
Falling into despair, my life has failed

Found guilty by trail and soon set to die
I step on the gallows, I begin to pray
Feeling air under my footsteps, I fall

Placed in unmarked soil, now is where I lie
What shall happen as I reach my judgement
Let my wasted life be warning to all.
