NOT DIFFERANT

I bleed just like you
I work the same hours
for the same pay
But you treat me different
I eat the same food has you
Live in the same type of home
and pay about the same rent
yet you treat me different
I pay my taxes
and ask for nothing
I even give to charities
still you see me as different
I saved your boys life
so you would not have to mourn
or suffer my loss
even so, you treat me different
why can't you see past my dark skin
and realist we are not different
we are a lot similar than you think.
