The magic words I wanted to hear
The yearned for feelings that I greatly feared
The strong stability when I had none
My driving fight, when it couldn’t be won

My gifted lover, when needing touched
My strongest support, when without a crutch
A steady hand, to rub my weary back
A selfless guide, when I fell off the track

My light of hope when graced with despair
My shiny angel, when I needed prayer
My dear friend, when calamity was dealt
Here, now gone, loss unbelievably felt
