Love is a Masquerade

In life there is one Masquerade ball we all attend.
It is the Masquerade called love.
Love disguises itself in a mother’s hug and a father’s praise
but is either one of them real symbols love or just are they just a Masquerade.
Love also mask itself in flowers and other gifts from that so-called special one
but the flowers can just be there to cover the stench of guilt gift.
Once again not love but a Masquerade.
Love biggest deceit is when the word is spoken.
When someone says I love you they really don’t….
because no one really knows what love means.
Love is a mystery.
Love is a Masquerade.
