Havest Time (for electric tiger)

I.

The moon turns red
but it isn't harvest time
you press your thumb
against my bottom lip
This is what it is like
to be memorized

Ten years pass
you drop in like a
sitcom extra,
you stay,
you make a mess,
you say catchy one liners,
"my bad"

(someone else will clean it up)

The world turns gray
but it isn't harvest time
I cower at your name
Jam...

(I wait)

Saying it makes it so
