when I walked into the room you smiled
a grin from ear to ear
what happened here?
now your face only shows contempt
I put in an appeal
is this how I make you feel?
then again it seems your affect on me
is just the same
we are both to blame
what started on a clean canvas years ago
it now is stained
with resentment and pain
we hear the echoes of how we make the other feel
the sound of confusion
we are now a delusion
when I tell you how you make me feel you say
this is what you do
I feel the same as you
like two hamsters in a cage round and round we go
running in the wheel
of how we make the other feel
