Poems - Rakshasa

Rakshasa

by chameleon

She watches me with hungry eyes,
swallows my slightest gesture whole;
her fingers flicker at her sides
in motion, practicing my hands,

and her head tilts in time with mine.
She watches me with hungry eyes,
reads deeper than my words, studies me
bit by bit, learning me by heart.

I think that if she could, she would
steal my life, try it on for size,
she watches me with hungry eyes
shapes her blank lips into my smile

and I feel my self slip away
bite by bite, drained into her lies.
No longer me, I watch her as
she watches me with hungry eyes.
