Let Go (V2)

Until I met you
I just didn’t know
That all this time
I had to let go

Opening locked doors
You alone took me to
Parts of myself
I just never knew

New pieces of me
That we discovered
Frightening me
More than a lover

All of the while
You kept her inside
Got just enough
To keep you alive

You did let me in
But never alone
Felt her presence
At your center throne

I did feel your love
Wanted to be
The one that you held
The one that you need

God, I know you tried
Yes, I know you cared
You never lied
I just can’t compare

I’m thankful to you
For letting me see
How colorful
That my life could be

I’m still glad we met
And I hope I showed
I love you more
Than you’ll ever know

I posted this back in 2007 under a different pen name. I revamped it and here is again, so it may look familiar to some.
