Angel Like Opposites

she always had the perfect smile
he always looked like he was forcing it
she never saw the darkness of addiction
he was sucked in and transformed early on
she took the avenue of higher education
he continued to get higher and higher
she saw that 'something' in him
which no one else saw
he nearly hung himself with guilt
she stuck around
said 'yes' when he asked.
