Poems - Not Worthy

Not Worthy

They say he’s the dream coming true.
They say he will lead us to the change that America needs.
They even gave him a prize for peace.
But he is not worthy.
Dr. King’s dream is to be judge by content not elected by color.
And the change he brings is leading the elderly and poor to be left to die because it is more cost effective.
Now, as for the peace prize given to a man who sent 30,000 more armed people off to war please.
I’m not hating Obama is just not worthy.

Awarding the peace prize to Obama surely seemed inappropriate to most Americans, although the prize committee was baffled by our reaction. Those who dwell in academic ivory towers seldom understand those of us who live in the real world. Well done, Lore - a true poem of reality. Best wishes, Mary Ann
