Angry Skies. by ginny005 Jagged shards of lightening spear the sky, Sending flashes of harsh light across the landscape. Destructive beauty inspiring awe and admiration. the sudden crash as thunder rips through the valley, A resounding boom that lingers in the silence. Large drops of rain fall on the parched ground, Drumming a loud tattoo as the storm rages. Brilliant streaks of light split the heavens And the thunder reaches a crescendo. The wrath of the storm devours the skies. then, gradually, the anger abates. Its power diminishing as quickly as it grew, Leading to nothing as a new silence speads o'er the land.
