When will we ever learn? by Leggolas
The world is full of idiots.
Of paralysing mind spigots
of grotesque, baying, blind bigots
who spew sweet biled discern.
A trickling, pickling, sleek entice,
infectious plague,
compelling splice,
a frothing, frenzied, wholesome vice
arousing all that yearn.
Deformed, the swarm’s oblivious awe
sweeps forth to purge,
as those before,
vain hatred fuels each raging core
as civilisations burn.
Thus cornucopian craved crusade,
neath sanctimonious masquerade
sears seething scars that nought shall fade,
as era takes its turn.
And as dawn’s broken remnants clasp their smoulder and inurn,
I ask mankind this question.
When will we ever learn? |
