What is heaven for

What is heaven for?
Is it for promises of a job well done,
or is it to even the score?

During war do we pack it with souls,
is it for all, or only those who walk the hot coals.

Is heaven for those, both the strong and the weak,
can anyone join, like a game of hide and seek?

Is heaven a place on this planet, or other world,
can animals go there, like a fox or a squirel?

Is heaven just a thought, put in our brain to cause a scare,
to all who don't conform, they will not be let there?

I think I have been in heaven, more than a time or two,
I know then I didn't want to leave, how happy i was this was true.
I remember thinking "this can't be heaven, I think that I've got a case of the flu"
I knew it wasn't heaven, cause it couldn't be heaven without you.
