Scarlet

Scarlet.

With the same shade of brown eyes, she watches me.
From across wide spaces we connect and it radiates.
Close to me in conversation, you make it comfortable.
The only sound is our voices while outside the storm brews.
The sky scarlet red, but I don't see it.
My attention is focused on you.
