Sleep By My Side

it has been a long time since anyone has slept by my side
i thought those feelings had long ago died

but you came into my life when i did not expect you
and now i am no longer blue

you are not ashamed of me in this chair
you are so gentle and use great care

your touch. oh my your touch is as light as a feather
and i am no longer alone we are now together

i lay here and watch you sleep
my feelings for you run so deep

thank you for making me your bride
and we will always sleep side by side
