Distrust

I am cutting my losses
Wanting to say my
Goodbyes

I can't even really feel
The tears in my eyes

When you begin
At the end
There is nothing to go
Back to again
And so you know
That I know

It was done
Before I took my first breath
Think of the peace
I find where
I do
and
Know that
This came before
you
Before
me
Before
I came along
There was still this same place

This same space
Devoid of Life

What was taken from me
Time to move on
And see what else
Might be
