More In Death Than In Life

Too young, she was just twenty eight
He was almost more than half her age
When she took her own life in the city park
Leaving her last thoughts on a simple page

The note she left him was tragic
As he read it his heart felt the knife
Her words said that although she knew he loved her
She felt he would more in death than in life

In life, he took her for granted
He thought she would always just be there
And now as she lay quiet in her casket
Her silent stillness was too much to bear

She was always special to him
Though she was never his only one
He realized she was right in what she had wrote
But now the bullet could not be undone

She took her life on a Friday
On Valentine’s Day she was buried
Her lover was left to forever ponder
If he lost the one he should have married

- To the woman who took her life in Jacobson Park. May your soul feel understood.

Its amazing how some never realise the value of a loved one... until it is too late... and in this truely sad write... realisation came well & truely too late to make the difference... such a waste to have a lady give her life never to feel what she should have IN life..beautifully put to pen my friend...Stay safe... Woods..
