Beyond I ponder

Amidst the shadows of madness.
Dwells the sanity of my soul.
Though life is lost and wandering.
My awareness lessens not.
With the horrors of night.
Comes the darkness of the day.
Help me to breathe, for it’s not the thunder I fear.
Nor the cries of mortal men.
It is only what lies beyond.
