MUSINGS

For false prestige
and pseudo-reputation
I concealed my innermost feelings
on several occasions
and numerous times

For her love
I wasted my precious life
and proved out to be fool
And corrupted my innocent mind
Love, I considered above all
And my simple life
I called her my fair lady
And that was my fault
You might have understood already !

Thank God,
I did not get addicted
to drugs,women and wine
as I follow the preaching of
Lord Buddha
And I'm blessed by the divine

I got used to forget her
with the help of poetry and music
These are my musings
That help me to stand erect
and not being absurd
In this selfish world !

I liked your poem man, it speaks to me. This world may be absurd and selfish but I still love it. There's a lot of beauty and good out there too.

    Fantastic expression Dr. Anant. This world is quite selfish, and oftentimes one feels pressured into conforming to the many absurdities, but it takes a true genuine spirit to feel comfortable in his own skin and what lies beneath to conquer these challenges. I relate!! No matter how nonconforming your ideas, the moral of the story is always stay true to what is the most significant. The rest leave to the weak in spirit and mind. Excellent message, beautifully expressed.
