the truth is...

Honestly I'm not over you.
i really dont know what to do.
you had me convinced.
but not anymore.
the truth is I'm kind of confused.
about what to do with you.

You have no idea how it feels.
to be on the other end of this rope,
the truth is i dont think you ever will.
somedays its hard to smile.
knowing that you'll never feel what its like.
to be on this side.

The truth is i really liked you.
but you missed that train.
when i found out about her.
but the only question is.
who did you like better.?

Someday you'll realize
how you made me feel.
stupid,useless and so much more.
but I'm going to find someone so much better.
the truth is I'm kind of over you.

For me I have found it is hard to write about liking someone. Love, hate, have all the passion. So I could follow your writing right up to you not really caring. It is not easy to write about not having a broken heart. But you conveyed enough about him that I was rooting for you in the end.

I have a series of poems "Miguel" that are about liking someone. I just wasn't able to capture the goodness of liking someone, simply liking someone.

This is a beautiful heart felt poem. now I am going to tell you what I tell everyone who uses text speak in their poems. Use real words and please use punctuation. Respect your poems and others will too. im is not a word... I'm = I am and so on and so forth Smile
