It is so sad...

You've had good company.

I cannot say that everyone has lived a life in hell at some point, but those of us that can say we have, understand where poetry like this comes from. If you read my title; The Red Door Knob... The things that stands out about hells is there are those of our own making and those we have no control over.

Your poem is well written and I completely understand the depression. I have suffered for years and poetry is the only thing that gives me control over it

first a giant hug for still being
monstrous in your fight to be you.

Besides writing in here you'll also
find close ties with most of us. We
at GP stick together, offline...online
we become one another s strong hold.

Write, and we'll listen, not judge.

Yes the Gotpoetry family is very special. I've never come across anything like it. The people are great, and so gifted. I love it. It has been a life saver for me.

dear Pete, depression is a terrible thing, and something that everyone at one time or another suffers. Your poem speaks of deep depression that sometimes there is no end. I hope this is not written about you - and only from your amazing imagination, but if this terrible disease has touched you personally, then I pray that you are able to rise above it and find happiness. By the fact that you are able to write about it so eloquently speaks volumes.

Hi Sandy. Yes depression can destroy lives. unfortunately. it is true. and there's much more too. No one knows were I've been. But, everyday is a new day, some days are better than others. Sorry my feline friend. I'm not from big cat land. I'm from cold Sheffield in the uk. It takes a little longer for things to sink in. and it did. Now I know. and yes, I agree. I should trash the comment. only, when your told somthing enough, as a child. you become to belive it true.
