For what this is it is very good, you have shown that you can successfully master a sonnet, but may I suggest doing some free verse that has REAL layers of emotion, not something cliche or conjured.....The problem with this kind of poetry is that it has all been done by masters such as Keats and Shelley and Wordsworth, so why not give my idea a chance? Read my poem "Your favorite Color", if you want to know exactly what Im talking about.

Dear Marty, not sure what your definition of a sonnet is...differes from mine, howeer that isn't important. Yes, what you said is sentimental, however many of us write those kinds of poems from time to time. It's all good practice. Warm Wishes, Tasha

Pujakins, I realize that this little poem does not fit the definition of a "sonnet" - actually I only used the term as a play on words for the title, nothing more.

Good poetry, but, Iridium is right: it does have a lot of cliches. However, it is still beautiful.
