The Morning Sun

The morning sun shown bright today
through windows covered in dust and grime
and I smiled to know it would warm
the earth in it's loving embrace.

the morning sun shown bright today
and I rejoiced to see it once again
for all life comes from the heavens
and the sun is the brightest star.

So, look beyond the dark and fog
look beyond the rain and tears
and smile knowing that
the morning sun shown bright today.
