LITTLE BIT OF DARKNESS

Yesterdays dreams lay wasted inside an empty bourbon bottle
Hope and desire, shattered and torn, peak from the trash can
Love, lays bleeding and discarded in the gutter
A life once endeared with freedom, now tremors from stress
The world gets a little more darker, and our heart a little more blacker
and we all stop feeling the sunsets...........

The blank dog barks but in a moment
the tail wags and life is pretty good
Light is inevitable cause your GP mates
Will head your way in the poetry bus
to bring you back to the surface,
Dave have you seen the movie
Red Dog yet? It's pretty uplifting
I recommend!

The poem is wonderful. The way it flows till the end and then actually conclude in a perfect manner was great!
Short, it may be, but strong.

Sounds like a depressive cycle to me. I hope things get well. Recommendations: like techno music? If not, there is always a funny movie. Then....there's meditation. I hope you get well, I love those three things, and I hope one works for you. I will be watching for you.

    Sammi, all are good ideas and I do listen to Tech some times. But meditation sounds the most inviting. Maybe I could meditate to a funny movie with a techno soundtrack. The I would benefit from all three. Hugs to you my friend. dAVE
