Poems - A vision in the dark
| | A vision in the darkby nightspirit
outside the wind was growling
yet the house it stood so still
you could have heard a fainted whisper
echo off the windowsill
it gave an eerie feeling
as she lay there in her sleep
so suddenly becoming wide awake
in a dream so dark and deep
she had this clouded vision
trying to make sence of what would be
unknowing the darkened circumstance
of what her dream would see ....
she found herself confined
restrained and shackled down
laying in an open crypt
in a see through silken gown
her breathing began to esculate
but no beat was within her heart
seemingly a beginning came to an end
yet a finish had begun to start ....
then the voice it came to her
in a tone so dark and grim
beconing through the candlelight
forwarned of the night of sin ....
oh let me be your vampire
your demon in masquerade
to come and give you pleasure
to be the queen of my parade
yes the queen of dark seduction
my princess for my own
to live the night immortal
in the darkness were we'll roam
yes let me be your vampire
your demon for all time
finding you so beautiful
knowing forever you'll be mine
so then the voice it faded
as she awakened from her dream
filled with a chilled sensation
she couldn't help but scream
outside the wind was growling
yet the house it stood so still
as the lady layed in her silken gown
with a smile that was poised to kill !

I must admit I usually do not read alot of dark poetry and yet I'm very drawn to yours. Very nicely written and enjoyed this as much as your first write.

well I try not to be really dark - I just ride the boundries I suppose - thanks for stopping in and taking the time to read my tale - Ill try and find something a lil less dark next time - respectfully - ^v^ me

I must admit I almost missed this beauty, the title seemed so familiar... You have a wonderful sense of rhythm, rhyme and story telling I very much enjoyed this tale as well! You are sure to attract a large following on Gotpoetry, my friend. Best wishes, Mary Ann

I enjoy story type poems - so I try and write them the best I can - ever since I was a child I was glued to the rhyme of a good tale - they are fun to read and follow along to - and Annabel Lee by Poe is my favorite poem of all - thaks for your kind reply - Ron

very nice, also well written,
you tell a great story friend,
it might just be me but this kinda remindes me
of the same writing style as king diamond,
i like it a lot, ill have to check out more of your
work, paainting a picture my friend,

thanks Bob - I try and tell stories with my tales - sometimes they come easy other times not so much - the one I am working on now has me kinda stumped - but its a longer one - very tough - but I'll get it - so I appreciate you stopping in and commenting - I shall stop by your site and check you out as well - respectfully - ^v^

this is one of a few vampire poems I have tried to do - seems everything around us is vampires - where do they come from - you know - so I made this one up like a gal has no control of a vampires power - even when she just lies in bed to dream - thanks again Gail - respectfully - Ron
