My stall

by Essex68

Now let my stall, be on display.
For the eyes of men beguiling, wondering.
Let a thought escape those amber eyes and float
away upon a dream.

They find some solace where they may find.
In dreary sleepy corridors of their mind, lost and
ambling onwards.
You may turn your eye once more to my stall.
Nothing is for sale, unless you sing.

W R Baker

I don't know why but as I was reading this, the song "soldier's things" came to my mind and wouldn't leave, although there, everything is a dollar while here one must sing. Great piece of writing Wayne.

Thank you Paula, I'm not sure I am familiar with that song. But I will check it out on youtube. Thanks again.

Try finding Paul Young's version of it. I think you will like it.
