VIKINGS HEART

I carry on my hip the blade of death
Upon the stitching's of my boots the blood of innocence dries
With-in my pockets, the sound of corrupt coins rattle
Battle wounds scar over in ugliness
From my eyes I see a world so full of hate
Yet'
In my heart softness is found
I cannot run from this feeling as it strangles my emotions
Your beauty has found a way around my shield
And I want to lose the battle you face to win my heart
You have brought me to my knees via my heart
And shown a tyrant can love beyond the battle field

awwww dave, how beautiful! And, yes, I truly believe that the heart is much mightier than any sword. The comparison you show between good and evil is compelling and vivid. Wonderful write.
